Residential Real Estate Paralegal

A local law firm seeking an experienced residential real estate paralegal to join its residential real estate and transactional team.

What we NEED from you:
- Strong proofreading, organizational and motivational skills required.
- Review and initially prepare loan documents, prepare summary of borrower requests for assumptions, lease analysis, condemnations, transfers, and other items requiring lender approval.
- Be familiar with, examine and evaluate borrower and third-party submitted documents, such as: title reports, escrow agreements, purchase and sale agreements, appraisal and inspection reports, financial models/statements, corporate documents, etc.
- Perform legal assignments that are varied and complex in nature that will require originality, ingenuity and high degree of technical skill.
What we PREFER from you:
- Demonstrate a high level of independence and legal acumen with a friendly demeanor.
- 5+ years of experience assisting attorneys handling residential real estate transactions
- Either existing experience with entry level commercial real estate experience or ability and interest in learning.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and someone who possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills is a must.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are required. Specific experience representing commercial lenders is a plus.
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere
- Self-initiative to create efficiencies and good processes within the Department
Qualified applicants should have experience representing purchasers and sellers, in residential real estate and financing transactions, including the preparation and of deeds, closing statements, and transfer documents.
Compensation: $50,000.00 to $55,000.00
